This range represents the infantry of the European Theater from 1944 to the end of the war.

US Army

These models represent US infantry in Europe from 1943-45. US Army Notes The platoon deal represents three rifle squads of nine men, which was the average size despite the much larger official count of 12. In the platoon deal, there are four BAR teams -- three for the rifle squads, and a fourth at platoon level, using the fourth BAR available. Other than the lieutenant and the platoon sergeant, the models in the platoon set are not technically attached at platoon level. The sniper could be in any of the squads, and the same goes for the rifleman with affixed rifle grenade, which is provided for variety's sake.

German Army

These models represent the German infantry forces on both fronts. German Army Notes The Platoon Set yields a junior officer or senior non-comm in command, an LMG team and three riflemen in the Zugtrupp (platoon assets), and three rifle sections, each with an LMG team, two SMG, and five riflemen. Panzerfausts were not held at platoon level of course, and the intention is to mix those two men in infantry sections.
